Building Blocks for Nonprofit Board Members will help you understand what it takes to be an effective board member. 

This training provides an excellent introduction to the nonprofit sector, the life cycles of nonprofit organizations and their boards, an overview of board roles and responsibilities, and provides a variety of resources for continuing board development and growth. 

This workshop is ideal for anyone who is interested in board service or recently became a board member for the first time.

Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants who are seeking nonprofit board positions gain valuable tools and resources to join a nonprofit board and access to the BoardLink, a shared initiative with HandsOn Greater Richmond to connect you to nonprofit organizations that are seeking board and board committee members.

Organizational Solutions reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to insufficient regsitration, inclement weather, or any other reason at the discretion of the organization.  Please note that Organizational Solutions is unable to offer a refund unless the workshop is canceled.  If you are unable to attend the workshop, someone from your organization is welcome to attend in your place or you are welcome to attend another session of the same workshop (Building Blocks for Nonprofit Board Members) within 90 days of the original workshop.
